About Nationwide Hire Solutions

Nationwide Hire Solutions offers same-day supply of access lifts and platforms, heavy plant/trucks, and tool hire, as well as professional waste removal services, across the UK and Ireland. It connects 4,000 customers with five million-plus products.

The Challenge

Digital transformation was a top priority for Nationwide Hire Solutions. It wanted to make services easier and faster. But the firm’s business software wasn’t the right fit for its business model – and required workarounds and paper processes. Change requests could take nine months. So, the company wanted its own cloud-based platform so it could scale up and connect easily to the systems of supply chain partners and customers.

our Solution

One Beyond built a new platform for operational systems called Momentum, hosted in the Azure cloud. This had to integrate with the existing VoIP telephony, Sage business system and custom supply chain management system. It needed to support the evolution of software over time, accommodating APIs for suppliers and customers. Other features included support for e-commerce and credit card processing – and even blockchain and other future options including AI.
